MORE THAN THE PERSON BEHIND THE CAMERA
I’ve been behind a camera for more than 15 years, but photography wasn’t where my creative story started.
My background is actually in graphic design, technology, and visual media. Long before photography became the focus, I was already paying attention to composition, color, light, and the way all of those pieces work together to tell a story. Picking up a camera gave me a different way to bring those ideas to life—and eventually it became the medium that stuck.
A LOT OF STORIES LATER
Over the years, photography has taken me into a lot of different rooms—and sometimes pretty far outside of them.
I’ve photographed portraits and families, models and performers, corporate events, concerts, products, brands, athletes, authors, influencers, real estate, and aerial imagery from a drone, along with plenty of people who simply wanted a great photograph of themselves.
That variety is a big part of how I developed my style. I never wanted to become a photographer who approaches every shoot the same way. A professional headshot shouldn't feel like a family session. A product shouldn't be photographed like a portrait. And a brand shouldn't look like everyone else's.
The subject changes. The approach should too.
MY APPROACH
I like images that feel polished without feeling overly produced.
Sometimes that means giving you very specific direction. Sometimes it means backing off and letting something happen naturally. Most of the time, it's somewhere in between.
You don't need to know how to pose. You don't need to walk in with everything figured out. That's part of what you're hiring me for.
My job isn't just to operate the camera. It's to pay attention—to the light, the details, the environment, and especially to the person or story in front of me.
The goal is to create something that feels intentional while still feeling like you.
EXPERIENCE MATTERS. SO DOES THE EXPERIENCE.
After more than 15 years behind the camera, I've learned that people remember more than the photographs.
They remember whether they felt comfortable. Whether someone listened to their ideas. Whether they felt rushed. Whether the experience felt collaborative or like they were simply being moved through another appointment.
That's why I put just as much thought into how we get there as I do the final images.
Whether you're updating your headshot, creating something for your brand, documenting an event, launching a product, or capturing something personal, I want you to walk away feeling like we created it together.
WHEN I'M NOT BEHIND THE CAMERA
Photography isn't the only place where technology and creativity overlap in my life.
By day, I work with Amazon Prime Air as a Flight Monitor, supporting drone delivery operations. It's a very different environment from a photo shoot, but I've always been drawn to the intersection of technology, creativity, and figuring out how things work.
Outside of work, I'm a husband and dad, and these days that means life looks a little different than it did when I first picked up a camera.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
STILL CURIOUS. STILL CREATING.
Fifteen-plus years into this, I'm still experimenting.
New lighting. New technology. New ideas. Different ways to tell a story.
I don't think photography is something you ever completely master—and that's probably one of the reasons I still enjoy doing it.
Every person and every project gives me something different to work with.
So if you've got an idea, even if it's not completely figured out yet, bring it.
We'll figure out the rest together.
